The odd of winning at bingo, in general, are quite simple to determine. In standard bingo games the formula goes that the odd of winning are equal to the number of cards you have divided by the total number of cards in play. For example, if you have 7 cards and there is a total of 100 cards in play, your percentage of winning would be 0.07 or 7%. Simple enough.
When it comes to progressive jackpots and the like – game types where winners are not guaranteed – the odds vary greatly in each session. Often enough these jackpots take several days or weeks before a player hits them. This makes for a substantially more exciting game, the spoils after all are much higher, hence the steep odds.
